How can you help?

Bursaries

We need more sponsors for school fees. It costs £50 per year for one student. Secondary school runs for four years.

Sponsor a student

We have a number of generous donors who respond to special appeals, or who sponsor individual students. We are incredibly grateful to them – but of course we are always looking for more. If you would be interested in sponsoring or part sponsoring one of these amazing youngsters to fulfil their dreams, support their communities and take up a university or training place, please do get in touch.

Donations

If you’d like to support our work, a donation can be made by clicking the button below which will take you to Paypal’s secure site. You don’t need a PayPal account as donations can be made using any major credit card.

If you prefer to pay by bank transfer see details below.

How your donations can help:

  • £20 – uniforms for a student nurse
  • £25 – bicycle repair man to repair MSP’s bicycles for secondary school users
  • £50 – school + examination fees per year for secondary school child
  • £75 – accommodation and exams to become  accredited by the Pharmacy Medial Regulatory Authority
  • £500 – 6 months’ accommodation, food, transport and maintenance for university student

All the money we raise goes direct to Malawi. Our only expenses are the essential disbursements made by our local team.

We provide our students with phones and laptops, clothes and everyday essentials, and money for travel, food and accommodation. Where possible they obtain student loans to cover the cost of their fees. They all agree not to leave Malawi in search of employment for 3 years after qualifying. Most are in any event highly motivated to serve their communities once qualified.

Fundraising events

We regularly run concerts and events – garden parties, musical evenings, concerts, tabletop sales, raffles and wine draws – mostly in West Sussex. We are always looking for ideas, venues, entertainment and help with organisation and refreshments. See Events or see News for latest updates.
